AdChoiceTV News — After the hashtag NasaanAngBisePresidente went viral on social media at the height of rains spawned by Tropical Depression Vicky, Vice President Leni Robredo is happy that her critics finally recognized her as the vice president.
Supporters of President Duterte tried to imitate the #NasaanAngPangulo and use it against Robredo as Vicky lashed Mindanao, the President’s home region, on Friday.
“Number one, they acknowledge me as vice president, because they call me fake vice president right? I even have a picture, so I’m the real vice president they are looking for. It’s funny,” she said.
She said the viral hashtag “legitimizes” that she is the official they need whenever there is a calamity.
On Friday, Robredo on Facebook responded to a meme looking for her, saying “I am here. We have been coordinating with areas affected.”
She said she knows the importance of providing immediate response during calamities as she lives in Bicol, which is always hit by typhoons.
“The speed, the first few hours of intervention are very vital because this spells life and death,” she said.
