Did someone or something just vandalize the Trese billboards posted on highways in the Philippines?
On Facebook, Netflix posted photos of four vandalized Trese billboards on Philippine highways, which had writings that read, “Layas! Siyudad namin ‘to!”
In the caption of Netflix’s post, they wrote “What kind of monster would do this??? If you see something, say something — we’re going to find out who did this.”
“Trese” is an anime series based on the Filipino fantasy, crime-horror comic book of the same name created by Budjette Tan and Kajo Baldisimo.
The story which is set in Manila is about mythical creatures of Philippine folklore who live in hiding amongst humans.
“Trese” is the country’s first Netflix original anime show. It will premiere on June 11.
