A misencounter almost happened between operatives of the Quezon City Police District Station 4 and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency on Friday afternoon during an anti-drugs operation in a parking lot of a mall.
A report by Super Radyo dzBB’s Glen Juego said the anti-illegal drugs operation of both camps happened around 3 p.m.

According to Juego, his source said PDEA agents directed police officers to stay on the ground.
The policemen then identified themselves as law enforcers, which prevented a misencounter to happen.
QCPD Chief Police Brigadier General Antonio Yarra confirmed to Juego that there was a drug operation in the area, however, it was aborted. He provided no further detail on the incident.

Photos sent to Juego showed the high-powered firearms, bullet proof vests, and cellphones in the area of the operation.

Both the Philippine National Police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency have not released any official report or statement on the incident.
In February, QC cops and PDEA agents figured in a shootout in Commonwealth, Quezon City.
An initial report by the National Bureau of Investigation indicated that two PDEA agents and an informant were killed in the shootout during a supposed anti-drug operation. Two bemedaled police officers for the Quezon City Police were also killed.
Both camps claimed their teams were on legitimate buy-bust operations and coordinated with each other prior to the shooting incident.
